ethanol free for 90 octane only. Convenient.

Been meaning to update sooner. I talked to the owner. He said that he tested the tanks and he found no Ethanol. He explained to me that the 90 octane may pump a little from the 87 ethanol gas at first, that is probably why I got an ethanol reading. Have not tried since, but will soon. Yes, friendly employees!

I'm going to guess that everything at the Spirit is and has been ok. 90 octane ethanol free. I'm sure they have filled their tanks up since Evan's testing. I've always trusted the owners word. Great station, nice employees.

I'm curious as to the outcome of this. I would like to know when and where the fuel was tested , ie: Evans test, hope to here something soon.

Spoke with the owner, he assures me that there is no ethanol in the premium, although they are blending pumps and a small amount after a blending use could dispense ethanol.

Went to get gas for the airplane. Tested the 90 Premium Octane and found it to be 15% Ethanol. Not sure what the deal is. The placards indicate that the 90 Premium Octane is Ethanol free. I will call on Monday and see what the problem is. Will update this station when I find out the info.

Bought 40 gallons of E0 90 Octane for the plane. Tested and found to be ethanol free and clear. $4.19 per gallon

Used this station for my 06 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R. Seems OK, pumps were a little slow. Bike ran fine. I only run E0 in my motorcycle and this is a convenient station near Matthews Beach.

Only Premium 90 octane available in ethanol free. My first tank of it, so let's see how it does

Filled up here today with the 90 octane ethanol free. Seems gas stations in Washington State are struggling to maintain ethanol free if they offered it in the past. Either a supply issue, or they can no longer resist the money they get from govt. to put ethanol in their gas. Too bad. What a scam.

Stopped by Sunday & filled up, ethanol free in 90 only.
Updated by Jw, March 27, 2013 3:39 CDT
As of march 22, no more E free of any octane as per signs on all pumps :(
Updated by Thomas, March 21, 2013 10:02 CDT
As of last week, only had premium ethanol-free gasoline. Probably has the same supplier as the Ballard Spirit station, so when the premium runs out there will be no more pure gas available in Seattle until a new wholesaler is found.

3/4/2013 Says they may not be able to get 87 oct ethanol free anymore. Currently they have on 92 oct ethanol free

i have been going there for a long time, i went there Tues april 3 2012, and the mech on duty told me that they have ethonel now in their gas, i was told its because of the refinery that is closed down? i dont know the hole story, but if this station is having prolblems getting ethanol free, what about others in the KING and SNOHOMISH / WATCOM , counties??
Updated by Louie, April 02, 2012 20:59 CDT

Updated by Mike, March 29, 2012 16:21 CDT
Price is about 30cents more than arco. But, I get at least 10% gas mileage which makes up for it. They will be out of their allocation on nonE until around the first of May (darn it)

Checked the price today...I have to say OUCH!....$4.25/gal....

Went and got 10 gallons of Efree 92 just for my lawn & garden machines. Made all the difference for my Leaf Blower, Trimmer, Chainsaw and Honda generator. A good choice for machines that sit all winter.

Tested Clear (no ethanol) today.

Got gas on May 2 Still good

My bike is already running stronger. Premium was only .08 more expensive per gallon than my closest Chevron's 92 octane. Which works out to be .40 more per 5 gallon fill up. I expect this to more than equal out with better mileage.
Updated by John, February 18, 2011 0:46 CST
Gas is a bit more expensive than at the Issaquah Grange Store or at the 116th ST Grocery in Marysville, but a bit more convenient for people in Seattle.
